Joanne Lenham, owner of PawMates, out on a walk with two of the pack.

Not a hobby. A career spent with animals.

PawMates is run by Joanne Lenham. Originally from Belper in Derbyshire, she built the business around one simple thing: looking after animals and making sure they stay happy.

That is backed by real training and real hours. She is qualified in animal management and has worked across kennels, veterinary surgeries and wildlife facilities, including Twycross Zoo, West Midlands Safari Park and a reserve in South Africa.

Level 2 and Advanced Level 3 diplomas in animal management.

Good to know before you book

What happens at a meet & greet?+

About half an hour, at your home. Jo meets you and your pet, you ask whatever you like, and you both decide afterwards. There is no commitment and no charge.

Are you insured and DBS checked?+

Yes, PawMates is fully insured and Jo is DBS checked. Certificates are available to see at your meet & greet.

Will I hear from you while I'm away?+

You get photo updates on every visit, so you can see how they got on rather than wondering.

How do I book?+
